Position Summary: To provide support for and to maintain day to day activities related to clinical trials (such as support to nursing and management staff) while supporting the goals and mission of ST Regional Medical Center, the National Cancer Institute and the Wichita CCOP research bases. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of job. Other duties as assigned. Your role is essential to the productivity of the department. Essential Functions: Other duties may be assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Assist CCOP nurse with daily activities including retrieving charts and laboratory kits, filing, complete data forms as instructed, monitor and track nurse specific clinical trial patient visits. Maintain and update protocol forms file. Order clinical trial drugs, pick up from pharmacy, and assist in maintenance of drug accountability. Log new patient into WCCOP computer system. Log data submitted into WCCOP computer system. Maintain long term follow-up information on patients as assigned. Order and maintain laboratory kit supplies for appropriate trials. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
